ATLANTA, GA – The Atlanta Police Department said that a truck accident occurred in the 3100 block of Northside Drive NW when a man attempted to drive his truck around a curb, hitting a power pole and ending up in a ditch.<\/p>\n

\"\"Georgia Power crews were on the scene working to repair the power pole after the incident.<\/p>\n

CBSAtlanta.com<\/a> reports:<\/p>\n

Police said the driver was not seriously injured and was taken into custody. Alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash, according to police.<\/p>\n

Parts of Northside Drive were blocked while crews repaired the pole.<\/p>\n

Twelve homes were without power for a short time.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
