The semi truck blocked the westbound lanes of West Genesee for nearly an hour before a tow truck could pull out the damaged trailer.<\/p>\n

The accident occurred Thursday morning, March 15, at about 9:43 a.m. The truck driver, who was employed by Har Rai Transport Ltd of Ottawa at the time of the incident, was identified as Ryan Arbuckle, 37, of Kenaya, Ontario.<\/p>\n
Arbuckle was traveling westbound when the cab of his truck cleared the bridge, but its trailer struck at the front peeling back about a third of the roof before the big rig came to a stop.<\/p>\n
The driver was charged with exceeding clearance, Syracuse police said.<\/p>\n
The accident remains under investigation at this time.<\/p>\n
