CADIZ, Ohio — A semi truck driver from Corpus Christi, Texas was killed on Wednesday, Dec. 6, in Harrison County, Ohio.<\/p>\n

A trucker from Texas was killed when his semi truck went out of control, then overturned and crashed, pinning him under the truck. The crash occurred on U.S. 250 near Cadiz, OH in Harrison County on Dec. 5, 2012. The truck was carrying liquid oxygen at the time of the accident.<\/p><\/div>\n

Official reports say that the semi was traveling east on Route 250, west of Cadiz, when the trucker lost control, veered off the right side of the road and went over a small hillside, pinning the driver.<\/p>\n

The victim, identified as 71-year old Rudolf Fichtner of Corpus Christi, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

WTOV9.com reports:<\/p>\n

Sgt. Shawn Yoho with the Ohio State Highway Patrol said, according to another truck driver, the victim was seen driving erratically before the crash. Investigators said they are not sure if any medical conditions could have caused the crash.<\/p>\n

The truck was transporting liquid oxygen, Yoho said.<\/p>\n

Officials said this is the second fatal crash on the same stretch of Route 250 in three years.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The incident remains under investigation at this time.<\/p>\n
