The accident occurred at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and St. Paul Street just after 8:30 a.m Thursday morning. The victim was identified as 23-year old Christopher Weigl, a Boston University graduate student who was pursuing a master\u2019s in photojournalism. Weigl was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

Witnesses told authorities that the cyclist was in the bike lane when he collided with the truck as it turned right from Commonwealth onto St. Paul.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was going pretty fast down the street, and the truck was taking a left-lane right turn down to St. Paul Street,\u201d said CVS employee Stanley Brown, who witnessed the collision. \u201cAnd I just hear a smack and then I see the guy getting run over by the wheels.\u201d<\/p>\n
The driver of the semi truck remained on the scene as officers responded. \u201cNo citations have been issued at this time,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n
The incident remains under investigations at this time.<\/p>\n
