STANTON, Texas — A semi truck accident that occured on Wednesday, March 20, has claimed the life of a 37 year-old Corpus Christi man.<\/p>\n

The driver of a pickup truck was killed after hitting a semi truck that was pulling out of a private drive in Midland County, TX on the eastbound I-20 service road just southwest of Stanton.<\/p><\/div>\n

The accident occurred on the Interstate 20 service road around 8:35 PM on March 20 near mile marker 155 located between Midland and Stanton.<\/p>\n

The Texas Department of Public Safety identified the victim as 37 year-old Michael Ware of Corpus Christi who was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

The troopers told the media that Ware was traveling east on the Interstate 20 service road when he smashed his Chevrolet pickup truck into a Peterbilt truck that was pulling out of a private drive.<\/p>\n

The driver of the big rig was identified as Abram Cortez of Lamesa. He did not appear to be injured.<\/p>\n

The incident remains under investigation at this time.<\/p>\n
