Photo credit: CBS 7 News.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more-->The accident happened around 9:30 a.m., October 10, at the County Road 1130 rail crossing near U.S. Highway 80 in Midland. It appears that the trailer bottomed out while crossing the tracks and got stuck and was unable to move. The trucker saw the westbound train coming and got out of the truck in time. The truck was smashed to pieces in the collision and was dragged about a half mile down the tracks toward East Loop 250.<\/p>\n<p>The accident is currently under investigation.
