OLDHAM COUNTY, TX – A semi truck driver was killed on October 23, when his semi truck jackknifed and overturned on I-40 in Oldham County, TX. Oldham County is located in the Texas panhandle in the northern part of the state. The accident site was on the westbound I-40 eight miles from the New Mexico border and about 64 miles west of Amarillo.<\/p>\n

A trucker was killed after his semi truck jacknifed and overturned on the westbound I-40 just 8 miles from the New Mexico border in Oldham County, TX on October 23, 2013.<\/p><\/div>\n

The crash happened at 7:37 a.m. when the semi truck went off the road onto the shoulder then jackknifed and overturned after over-correcting. No other vehicles were involved.<\/p>\n

The truck driver was killed in the crash. He was identified as 66 year-old Willis Buddy Henry from Rossville, GA. There was also another truck driver riding as a passenger in the cab who was injured in the crash, but survived.<\/p>\n

The passenger was identified as 56 year-old Janie Ruth Henry, also from Rossville, GA. She was transported to the Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.<\/p>\n

State Troopers said the truck driver was wearing his seat belt, but the passenger was not.<\/p>\n

The incident remains under investigation at this time.<\/p>\n
