Author: WICHITA, Kansas — A train and semi truck accident occurred Thursday evening in North Wichita Kansas when a train hit the back of a semi truck stuck on the tracks. The accident happened at 37th Street North and Broadway.

Traffic in Wichita was backed up for some time Thursday evening due to a train accident.
Police say a semi was stopped on the tracks when the crossing arms came down over it.
The truck tried to move but couldn’t and was struck in the back end by the train.
Fortunately no one was hurt in the accident.
