SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. — The City of Siloam Springs reported that two people were taken to the hospital with injuries after a flatbed semi truck reared-ended the back of a cement truck on a highway near the Oklahoma-Arkansas border.

Two people were hospitalized after a semi truck smacked into the rear of a cement truck on the eastbound side of U.S. Highway 412 in West Siloam Springs, OK just inside the Arkansas/Oklahoma border on May 6, 2013. The tractor trailer was completely demolished.

According to information released by Holland Hayden, communications director for the City of Siloam Springs, the accident occurred on Monday, May 6, at 8:50 a.m. on eastbound U.S. Highway 412, two miles west of the Oklahoma-Arkansas state line.

The Siloam Springs Fire Department sent a rescue crew to the scene. The crew pulled the two injured from the wreckage and transported them to Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
