SHREVEPORT, La – A woman was killed Monday morning, December 22, when she was hit by a semi tractor trailer on an interstate in Caddo Parish, Louisiana. The tractor trailer overturned after the deadly truck accident which occurred at Red River Bridge on Interstate 220 where the highway wraps around the northern edge of the city of Shreveport, LA. The accident area is in the northwest corner of the state, about 188 miles east of Dallas, Texas, and about 73 miles south of Texarkana, Arkansas.

Early Monday morning an unidentified truck driver was driving a semi trailer west on Interstate 220, moving through northwest Louisiana between Bossier City and Shreveport. PORT BARRE, LA – Twenty one school children were injured Friday morning, December 3, when their bus was involved in a truck accident on a highway in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. A semi trailer collided with the school bus as it was pulling back onto U.S. Highway 190 after picking up children near the town of Port Barre. The truck accident area is in the south-central section of the state, about 54 miles west of Baton Rouge, LA and about 157 miles east of Beaumont, Texas.

METAIRIE, La – A semi tractor trailer truck crashed into a highway overpass Friday afternoon, September 3, in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. The truck accident happened in the city of Metairie, LA when the driver was attempting a U-Turn on the south service road for Interstate 10. The accident area is just west of the New Orleans metro region in the far southeast corner of the state, about 74 miles southeast of Baton Rouge, LA and about 148 miles southwest of Mobile, Alabama.

At around noon Friday 54 year old Timothy Weckerlin of Hawk Point, Missouri was driving a semi trailer truck east on Interstate 10 in Jefferson County, LA. The trailer of the 18 wheeler had the logo for Aurora Trailer Leasing & Rental, a national trucking company based in St. Louis, MO. It is not known if the driver was working for the company or had leased the truck. The cargo he was carrying and his destination was also not released to the public.

ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. – A truck driver has been charged in a Friday morning, July 9, truck accident that killed four people on a highway in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana. The deadly collision occurred on Interstate 59, north of Slidell near Pearl River, LA and a few miles from the Mississippi border. The truck accident area is in the far southeast section of the state, about 40 miles northeast of New Orleans, LA and about 65 miles west of Biloxi, MS.

GROSSE TETE, LA – Four people were killed early Friday morning, April 9, when a tractor trailer traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 sideswiped another 18 wheeler that was parked on the shoulder, lost control, then crossed the median onto the westbound side into oncoming traffic and crashed head on into another big rig and an SUV. All three vehicles then burst into flames.
