Author: CHARLOTTE, NC — An accident involving a vehicle and tractor trailer shut down the southbound lanes of Interstate 85 on Wednesday morning, July 18, after a driver of a truck attempted to take the exit off of the interstate, but swerved back into traffic and cut off the tractor trailer.
A passenger vehicle was completely demolished in a semi truck accident on I-85 near the I-77 interchange in Charlotte on July 18, 2012.

LOWELL, NC – An 18 wheeler truck driver traveling on I-85 North sideswiped a vehicle near exit 23, Wednesday morning, March 21, shutting down northbound lanes of I-85 for 3½ hours.
