BULVERDE, TX – On Friday, April 2, 2010 just after 3:00 p.m. a dump truck rear-ended a black 1997 Chevy 1500 pickup truck with two occupants, sending it into the path of oncoming traffic on Highway 46 where it collided with two more pickup trucks.

Three pickup trucks lie entangled in a twisted pile of wreckage following the horrific truck accident in Bulverde, Texas on Highway 46 just west of U.S. 281.

In the crash, the two occupants of the Chevy pickup were ejected from their vehicle. One of the occupants, 45-year old Rona Fields, died at the scene of the accident. She was a mother of four. The driver, 61-year old Edgar Boeck, survived the crash, but with serious injuries.

The horrific crash occurred when Boeck, waiting to make a left turn into his driveway in the 21900 block of Texas Highway 46, was struck from behind by a westbound dump truck owned by Stone & Soil Depot and Company out of Boerne, TX.
