NEW HARTFORD, CT – Diesel fuel spilled on a Connecticut highway Tuesday morning following a truck accident, shutting down traffic for hours. The truck accident happened on Route 8 near New Hartford, CT. The accident area is in the northwest section of the state, 57 miles north of New Haven, CT and 120 miles southwest of Boston.

After losing control, the truck driver skidded across the wet highway surface and banged into a guardrail along side a bridge near New Hartford High School in Connecticut.

ONTARIO, CA – Four people died Saturday in a fiery multi-vehicle chain reaction truck accident. The accident occurred on Freeway 15 near Ontario, California about 37 miles west of Los Angeles. The chain accident began at about 12:20 p.m. Saturday afternoon and would end up involving three tractor trailer trucks, a U Haul truck, and two passenger cars. ORLEANS, IN – A semi truck lost part of its load on an Indiana highway, crushing two vehicles and killing three people. The truck accident occurred Monday evening on Indiana Highway 37 near the city of Orleans. The area is in Orange County in the southern section of the state, 90 miles south of Indianapolis, IN and 54 miles northwest of Louisville, KY.

Highway 37 was closed for about six hours after the truck accident.

According to Indiana authorities who responded to the truck accident scene, 33 year old Israel Rankin of Paoli, IN was driving his flatbed truck southbound on Highway 37. MADISON COUNTY, OH – A man died after the parked car he was in was hit by a tractor trailer truck on a highway in Madison County, Ohio. The truck accident happened Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 71 southwest of the city of Columbus, OH. The accident area is in the central section of the state, 82 miles northeast of Cincinnati and 160 miles south of Toledo, OH.

The tractor trailer jack-knifed and slammed into a Buick Regal car that was parked on I-71.

At around 2:30 p.m. Feb 10, last Wednesday afternoon, 31 year old Chawn Griffin of Groveport, OH was driving his tractor trailer south on Interstate 71. As he drove in the area of Route 56, Mr. Griffin was attempting to change lanes when he lost control of his 18 wheeler on the windy, snowy highway. WASHINGTON COUNTY, UT – A student truck driver slammed head-on into a car, injuring four people Saturday afternoon in Utah. The truck accident occurred on Interstate 15, near New Harmony, 30 miles north of St. George in Washington County. The accident area is in the far southwest corner of the state near the Arizona border, 273 miles south of Salt Lake City and 284 miles north of Flagstaff, Arizona.

The student truck driver and his instructor were reportedly not injured in the head on truck accident.

The accident happened Friday evening on Interstate 575 near the town of Woodstock, in the Atlanta metropolitan region.
