SAN ANTONIO, TX – A train and semi truck accident occurred around 8:00 a.m. Friday when an 18 wheeler truck carrying sand was waiting to pull out onto Pleasanton Road.
Deputies say that the Union Pacific train, which was heading south, clipped the trailer of the big rig forcing it over on its side.
Bexar County Sheriff’s Traffic Investigators said an accident happens every 18 months at the intersection near 24090 Pleasanton Road, reports KENS5.com in San Antonio.
The driver of the truck told deputies he didn’t hear the horn so he drove over the railroad tracks which resulted in his trailer being hit by the train. The driver of the truck walked away with no injuries.
Traffic was not delayed for very long.
An investigation unit plans to listen to the black box in order to determine the cause of the accident.

HATTIESBURG, MS – Two men died from injuries they received in a multi-vehicle truck crash southeast of Hattiesburg, Mississippi in Forrest County. The truck accident happened Tuesday afternoon on U.S. 49 North near the Camp Shelby Military Training Site/Hagler AAF. The region is in the far south section of the state, 90 miles southeast of Jackson, MS and 110 miles northeast of New Orleans, Louisiana.
The first part of the truck accident happened at approximately 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, in the area between the north and south gates to Camp Shelby/Hagler AAF. The initial collision was between a Dodge Charger and a Honda Accord. After the impact, the Accord went off the highway on the right side of the road and the Charger ended up in the median that separated the two lanes of the highway.
ROANOKE, IN – A semi truck skidded into a guard rail then overturned and rolled over off the side of the road in Roanoke, Indiana about 18 miles from Fort Wayne in the north eastern part of the state.
The big rig accident happened on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 around 6:30 am in the morning trapping the driver for about 45 minutes. Police are blaming the winter weather and icy road conditions for the accident.
NEW CASTLE COUNTY, DE: A Delaware woman was hospitalized Saturday morning after she ran a red light and was hit by a semi truck traveling south on Newport Gap Pike/Route 41 in New Castle County, Delaware. At approximately 11:45 a.m. Saturday, 50 year old Mary A. Deconstanza of Wilmington, DE was driving a 2007 Volkswagen Beetle, traveling east on Faulkland Road near Brandywine State Park. According to local police, when Ms. Deconstanza reached the intersection of Faulkland Road and Newport Gap Pike/Route 41, she allegedly failed to obey her traffic signal which was red.
WEST SENECA, NY: A young Buffalo suburban woman was killed early Saturday morning when she was hit head on by a semi truck that had drifted into her lane. The truck accident occurred on Transit Road near Southwestern Boulevard in West Seneca, New York. The truck accident area is in the northwest section of the state in the Buffalo metro region. The area is near the Canadian border, 103 miles southeast of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and 370 miles northwest of New York City, NY.
At approximately 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning, 27 year old Carrie L. Brzezicki of Orchard Park, NY was traveling south on Transit Road. As she approached the area where the road becomes Southwestern Blvd., a tractor trailer traveling northbound suddenly drifted and crossed over the center line, slamming head-on into Ms. Brzezicki’s car.
ROCKVILLE, MD: A tanker truck carrying thousands of gallons of fuel rolled over and exploded into flames early Thursday morning. The semi truck accident happened on Montrose Road in Rockville, Maryland, near Interstate 270. The area is in the central section of the state, 44 miles southwest of Baltimore, MD and 21 miles north of Washington, DC.

The tanker truck exploded into flames upon impact. The truck driver was able to pull himself out of the Peterbilt truck and escaped injury.
At around 4:45 a.m. Thursday, the 45 year old truck driver, Michael A. Gongola of Frederick, MD, was operating a Peterbilt truck, carrying close to 9000 gallons of gasoline. He was driving from northbound I-270, onto westbound Montrose when he began to drift to the left side of the road. Gongola attempted to bring the tanker truck back and over corrected the maneuver. He lost control of the gasoline truck and it flipped over onto its side and slid on the roadway.
LINCOLN, MA: A semi tanker truck rolled over on top of three vehicles Tuesday morning, but the drivers of the crushed vehicles were able to escape without serious injuries. The truck accident happened on Route 2 near Lincoln, Massachusetts, in the outer edges of the Boston metropolitan region near the town of Conrad in Middlesex County. The area is in the east section of the state, 218 miles northeast of New York, NY.
The truck rollover accident happened around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, as 47 year old John Revene, of Westborough. MA was traveling west on Route 2. Revene was driving a truck owned by Trans-Spec Truck Service Inc., hauling a load of a petroleum based product.
CEDAR FALLS, IA – Early Thursday morning A semi truck collided with a pickup truck when the driver of the big rig failed to yield at a stop sign. The impact of the crash sent the pickup truck rolling into a ditch, where it came to a rest on its wheels. The location of the accident was in the north section of Cedar Falls about 69 miles northwest of Cedar Rapids, IA and about 133 miles northeast of Des Moines.

The driver of the pickup, Robert Thompson, age 66, was driving in the area of West Cedar Wapsie and Waverly roads at about 5:45 a.m. when his truck was hit by a semi truck driven by Shawn Thornton, 28, of Muscatine, according to deputies.
Medics with Janesville Fire Rescue and Sartori Hospital removed Thompson, from his vehicle and took him to Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo for a complaint of back pain, according to Black Hawk County sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies cited Thornton for failure to yield at a stop sign.

CANASTOTA, NY — A truck driver lost control of his tractor trailer Monday morning on a New York State highway, causing the semi-truck to overturn and slowing down traffic.
